    Everything is made with love anytime I go home I visit just to get some greens and cornbread dressing lord thinking about the fall off the bone pork rib have me dribbling I love the potato salad as well

    Wow - Hodges use to have really great BBQ. I haven't been in years, but found myself in the South Dekalb are near lunchtime. I knew exactly where I wanted to go...straight to Hodges. They use to have the best of everything and their Brunswick stew was delicious. Well, I almost passed the place because there were only 2 cars and it 12:15pm (lunch time). It use to be really jumping, but it was empty. The staff was friendly but she says immediately "what you see is all we have". Hmmmm not much to pick from.....No Mac and Cheese, Brunswick stew no longer on menu and the choices were practically bare. I asked if I was too early thinking they haven't cooked everything yet lol. Not sure if management has changed but I decided to give it a shot. Ordered Rib tips, corn, turnip greens and drink = $12. The Rib tips tasted old, and the greens were bland. All I could bare to eat was the corn and a few bites of corn muffin. It's too bad this spot has went downhill like this. RIP Hodges

    Only in South Dekalb. This place is just.... no word for it. Point of it all is how are you a BBQ rib mostly restaurant and always either out or waiting on ribs? Especially on Memorial, July4th, and/or any summer day. See why it's hard to support black businesses. I promise you Fat Matt's doesn't have a wait on ribs or none in stock. Get it together Hodges everything but Bar-B-Q.

    I havent been here in many years, but since I was gonna be in the area, I was thinking about stopping by to get a plate of ribs and some greens.
    However, two days before my visit, they released the Health inspection with a failing score of 52!!!
    There were improperly handling foods with bare hands, improperly storing foods, drink nozzles were heavily soiled with mold and dirt, improperly thawing meat in hot water, but the worst violation was THE RODENT DROPPING THROUGHOUT THE RESTAURANT!!!!
    I will NEVER in my life go back to this place again. It's seems that they don't care about our health and safety and are too lazy to keep the place clean!
    It is time to shut the doors on this bbq joint!

    I love it and the people I've been coming here for years and it's always good I love the beef ribs and the turnips are divine
